All elements used in the realization of Isidore?s creations are from West Africa. Only natural material is used. The fine dark ebony is derived from the trees of the Subsaharan regions. Born in the West African country Benin, Isidore Domingo emigrated to Germany. For many years he has lived in Berlin, but always maintained a relationship with his African origins. When traveling to his homeland, he became inspired to transform its raw materials and handcraft traditions into modern designs. He sought out local artisans in Ghana, Benin, Togo, Mali and Burkina Faso to work with him. This collaboration led to his first collection in 2009. In spring 2010 he founded his company "Isidore Domingo Design" in Berlin.
